Allen Bolen’s Dall Sheep And Caribou Hunting Gear List

Below is the breakdown of what my gear choices are for my 2021 Dall Sheep and Caribou hunt. My hunt is conducted in the far north near the Yukon and Alaskan Border. The mountain range I’m hunting is a two-day hike from the trail head. I’ll be hunting early August with temperatures ranging from the mid 30’s at night into the mid 60’s during the day. I’m preparing for possible rain every day of the hunt.

What’s great about this setup, is the versatility of the KUIU skin-to-shell layering system and its utility across a wide range of weather conditions and big game hunting areas. This is my same sleepgo-to setup on most hunts. I have tested and proven this gear in the worst conditions, and I know with confidence it’ll work anywhere I hunt.
