Amazing piece of gear
"I wear these everyday at work in the winter. I work in a glass Manufacturing facility and have to work in temperatures ranging from 0 to 140 throughout a single shift. The ability to add or shed a layer quickly without having to take my boots off is great. There are no clean places in a glass factory so these are a game changer. In my old age I need long johns now as the temps drop. I haven't worn them much hunting or hiking I have other long johns I wear. But they would be great. They're lightweight which is great if you're moving around. The only downside to being thin wool is pilling. These do pill. I hope they last a long time. A few small holes here and there isn't a big deal with wool but hopefully they don't wear through. I put a lot of hours in them. I take very gentle care when washing them and they never see the dryer. Hopefully that keeps them in good shape. I wish they still made the synthetic peloton 118 zip off. They would probably be a bit more durable. Also I'm not sure how I feel about them being cut off above the boots. I don't hate it but I usually tuck my long johns into my boots and I can't with these and sometimes they ride up and my legs get a chill there. I think I'd rather just have them full length but I understand because of them having the zip off. These are a must buy if you think quickly adding or removing your base layer is important to your use."
