Disappointing Durability - Not hunting worthy

"Very disappointed with the durability. After only 20 days of very light use, mostly commuting to the office, my $300+ Kenai developed significant pilling and it hadn't even been washed yet. KUIU considers this normal for the soft, quiet fabric and does not cover it under warranty. I understand the trade-off, but I expected considerably better durability from a premium hunting garment. Unfortunately, this has reduced my confidence in the product and the brand."

My favorite coat

"By far my favorite coat from kuiu. I’ve bought it in multiple patterns, I have the kenai vests also. Super soft, very stretchy and comfy. I’ve worn it as an outer layer on snowy days in the mountains. I’ve worn it in rain storms, it will keep you dry for a couple hours before soaking through."

Exactly what I needed

"Got this to bridge the insulation gap between being too light and too heavy. Tried it on In store and almost ended up getting two! Typically I sit exactly between a medium and large. I ended up loving the large because it was perfect sized to layer underneath while not being baggy or super long. Easily packable and light weight. It will be perfect for when a fleece won’t cut it on those crisp cold morning hunts!"

Favorite peice of gear I own.

"Perfect jacket. Wore this on a recent backpacking trip in the mountains to test it out. Kept me warm when it was cooler out in the morning and evenings. I even slept in it. Very comfortable and makes very little noise. Bought wize large and at 5'10"/184lbs with a more athletic build I have room under the jacket for a base layer and a hoodie if needed. It packs down decently enough but obviously not as much as down. Wind didnt seem to cut through it too much. This will always be in my pack or on me."
