Great Products

"I just returned from Colorado Elk Hunt. Before going I decided to go "all in" with Kuiu! I bought the ultra Merino 145 zip off bottom and the lightweight hoody top for base layer. Absolutely love them. I also purchased the attack pant a pullover midlayer and rain pants and jacket. This gear is amazing. Truly the happiest I have ever been with a clothing purchase. Rained most days and I stayed dry and comfortable. I couldn't give a stronger recommendation. Everything was true to size per the sizing chart other than maybe the zip-off bottoms. I originally ordered a medium and returned them for small."

Great base layer

"Great fit and construction as usual. Heavier than I expected, so they could almost interchange between some of my heavier base layers. Boot length will be helpful too."

— James H. (5/5)

Super comfortable. Not the most

"Super comfortable. Not the most durable. Mine got a fabric pull/run just removing them from the original packaging. But the overall comfort and convenience outweighs the fragility and doesn’t change the 5 ⭐️ status."

— Fran A. (5/5)

Have had a few pair

"Have had a few pair of these. Great set of base wear. Only reason for 3 stars is this new pair is too large in the thighs. All my other pairs have fit closer to skin than these new ones."

— Jeremiah E. (3/5)

A good base layer

"A good base layer, comfortable to put on and, above all, to take off when necessary."

— Michele C. (4/5)

Lightweight flexible layer

"Kuiu wool is the most comfortable I own. Designer obviously understands the challenge of temperature control in the field. Well designed!"

— David J. (5/5)

Almost there…

"I really like the zip off feature of this item. I can remove them without removing my outer pants and boots. Wish they were a little heavier in thickness. Almost t-shirt weight and have to be washed in wool detergent and dried flat like a sweater."

— Michael R. (4/5)

Good product, not perfect for backpacking

"I bought these for backpacking, and probably should have thought about it more prior. They fit very well, their Merino so great for regulating and insulating. I like the ability to remove them without taking off my pants and boots, but the zipper is bulkier than I imagined. Especially the velcro over the zipper at the top the waist, I found to be a bit uncomfortable underneath the waistband of my backpack. Not horrible, but it means I'm probably going to be less likely to use them while backpacking. For other outdoor activities they probably would be perfect."

— James M. (4/5)

Good but ran short

"They were comfy and kept me warm in the cold temps (30-40°F) and didn't sweat too much when it warmed up (70s) throughout the day. Length of inseam was too short. They were highwaters on me."

— Miguel S. (3/5)

First time I’ve had zip

"First time I’ve had zip off bottoms. Worked great with thin pants in the morning and could easily remove when it started warming up."

— Robert S. (5/5)
