"I really like the zip off feature of this item. I can remove them without removing my outer pants and boots. Wish they were a little heavier in thickness. Almost t-shirt weight and have to be washed in wool detergent and dried flat like a sweater."
"I bought these for backpacking, and probably should have thought about it more prior. They fit very well, their Merino so great for regulating and insulating. I like the ability to remove them without taking off my pants and boots, but the zipper is bulkier than I imagined. Especially the velcro over the zipper at the top the waist, I found to be a bit uncomfortable underneath the waistband of my backpack. Not horrible, but it means I'm probably going to be less likely to use them while backpacking. For other outdoor activities they probably would be perfect."

"I wear these everyday at work in the winter. I work in a glass Manufacturing facility and have to work in temperatures ranging from 0 to 140 throughout a single shift. The ability to add or shed a layer quickly without having to take my boots off is great. There are no clean places in a glass factory so these are a game changer. In my old age I need long johns now as the temps drop. I haven't worn them much hunting or hiking I have other long johns I wear. But they would be great. They're lightweight which is great if you're moving around. The only downside to being thin wool is pilling. These do pill. I hope they last a long time. A few small holes here and there isn't a big deal with wool but hopefully they don't wear through. I put a lot of hours in them. I take very gentle care when washing them and they never see the dryer. Hopefully that keeps them in good shape. I wish they still made the synthetic peloton 118 zip off. They would probably be a bit more durable. Also I'm not sure how I feel about them being cut off above the boots. I don't hate it but I usually tuck my long johns into my boots and I can't with these and sometimes they ride up and my legs get a chill there. I think I'd rather just have them full length but I understand because of them having the zip off. These are a must buy if you think quickly adding or removing your base layer is important to your use."

"The best concept for added warmth on those freezing mornings. When it’s time to remove them, no need to take your boots off. Drop your over garments, unzip the legs and take them off. Very quick and easy. Best product ever"
"bought a XL and L. Roomy mid-thigh to waist, a touch shorter in the calf than expected - but I do realize that is to service the zipped removal. I'll likely love that feature once I go to remove when I have waders on."
