"I just returned from Colorado Elk Hunt. Before going I decided to go "all in" with Kuiu! I bought the ultra Merino 145 zip off bottom and the lightweight hoody top for base layer. Absolutely love them. I also purchased the attack pant a pullover midlayer and rain pants and jacket. This gear is amazing. Truly the happiest I have ever been with a clothing purchase. Rained most days and I stayed dry and comfortable. I couldn't give a stronger recommendation. Everything was true to size per the sizing chart other than maybe the zip-off bottoms. I originally ordered a medium and returned them for small."

Almost there…

"I really like the zip off feature of this item. I can remove them without removing my outer pants and boots. Wish they were a little heavier in thickness. Almost t-shirt weight and have to be washed in wool detergent and dried flat like a sweater."

"They were comfy and kept me warm in the cold temps (30-40°F) and didn't sweat too much when it warmed up (70s) throughout the day. Length of inseam was too short. They were highwaters on me."

Amazing piece of gear

"I wear these everyday at work in the winter. I work in a glass Manufacturing facility and have to work in temperatures ranging from 0 to 140 throughout a single shift. The ability to add or shed a layer quickly without having to take my boots off is great. There are no clean places in a glass factory so these are a game changer. In my old age I need long johns now as the temps drop. I haven't worn them much hunting or hiking I have other long johns I wear. But they would be great. They're lightweight which is great if you're moving around. The only downside to being thin wool is pilling. These do pill. I hope they last a long time. A few small holes here and there isn't a big deal with wool but hopefully they don't wear through. I put a lot of hours in them. I take very gentle care when washing them and they never see the dryer. Hopefully that keeps them in good shape. I wish they still made the synthetic peloton 118 zip off. They would probably be a bit more durable. Also I'm not sure how I feel about them being cut off above the boots. I don't hate it but I usually tuck my long johns into my boots and I can't with these and sometimes they ride up and my legs get a chill there. I think I'd rather just have them full length but I understand because of them having the zip off. These are a must buy if you think quickly adding or removing your base layer is important to your use."
