Reviews

Merino wool

"Light weight but perfect for mild days or colder days with layers. I work outside and have found that merino is the best for all around comfort and warmth. It is also the best material for scent control, especially when used as a base layer. Merino is the only thing that will still provide warmth even wile wet. Even completely soaked it will still keep you warm. No other material does that."

Great base layer

"I love these shirts! Wanted to build up my stock of hooded one thus this purchase. I have worn these while deer hunting in Alabama, to elk hunting in. Colorado, to sightseeing in Montana. Great product!"

120 Merino

"Unfortunately they no longer make the tiburon in the vias color. So I had to pick up a merino 120. Shirt is good but just loved the tiburon so much more during those hot seasons."

Matt W. (4/5)

Merino Hoodie

"Great shirt! Kuiu always run a little small so I always order a size up. This shirt keeps me nice and cool when it’s hot out. Dries super fast."

Evan M. (5/5)

Great Fit & Feel

"The merino is soft and lightweight, perfect for the early season or turkey woods. Excited to try it this fall in the PA woods!"

Ryan H. (5/5)

Great Hoodie

"Loved the material and I used it on Safari to South Africa and it was amazing. Cool when it was hot and warner when it chilled down in the evening."

Jimmy B. (5/5)

Impressed

"This is the first purchase I’ve made from KUIU and so far I’m impressed. I did a training hike with this on and a 40lbs pack and by the time I was finished the entire garment was sweated out. I continued wearing it and after about an hour or so it was totally dry. As far as fit goes, the arms and body are a little long for me but otherwise it’s a nice piece."

Brett Z. (5/5)

nice hoodie

"perfect fit, just the right weight to wear alone in warm weather as a layer on cold days. love the merino wool, but not sure how well it will hold up to hard use such as scouting in thick brush. this is my first hoodie and I already like it!"

John W. (5/5)

It’s very comfortable the fit

"It’s very comfortable the fit is great. Looking forward to wearing it on some upcoming hikes and this fall’s hunting season."

ULTRA Merino 120 LT LS Hoodie | Valo

"I have experience with first lite wick layers which are great and one can practically live in those. So far, I can say the say about this hoody. Great as a single layer and great as a base in layering system. Bought size L and seems to be OK which is strange as I wear mainly XL or even XXL in Guide DCS jacket from Kuiu. oh well. The real test is going to be in the mountains this fall. Hoping it holds up to what I am going to dish out at it. Overall pretty pleased."

Q&A

I am 6'2" and 220-230 depending on what season it is lol, I was wondering how the the length on the sleeves was? I have always had troubles in the past with sleeves not being long enough. I was hoping it would have thumb holes.
On a size XL, the shoulder seam to cuff is 28", and armpit to cuff is 22.5".
