"This is the first purchase I’ve made from KUIU and so far I’m impressed. I did a training hike with this on and a 40lbs pack and by the time I was finished the entire garment was sweated out. I continued wearing it and after about an hour or so it was totally dry. As far as fit goes, the arms and body are a little long for me but otherwise it’s a nice piece."

"I have experience with first lite wick layers which are great and one can practically live in those. So far, I can say the say about this hoody. Great as a single layer and great as a base in layering system. Bought size L and seems to be OK which is strange as I wear mainly XL or even XXL in Guide DCS jacket from Kuiu. oh well. The real test is going to be in the mountains this fall. Hoping it holds up to what I am going to dish out at it. Overall pretty pleased."
Great Baselayer
"First of all I was surprised by how soft it was. I was a little nervous it wouldn’t hold up in the woods but It held up perfect in the thick woods and pretty well in the briars too. I probably got snagged 20-30 times by briars and only had 1 snagged thread. It did have some pilling from my pack after just a few hours but that doesn’t bother me. It also dried in about 25 minutes once I got back to the truck and it still doesn’t stink after 3 wears. I’ve only had this in the woods a few times but I think this will be my go to base layer this fall. I’m 6’1 230lbs with an athletic build. I can’t stand a tight shirt so I got the XXL and the sleeves, shoulders, and chest are perfect but it’s a bit baggy in the body which was expected."

"Great lightweight warm hoodie. Used pretty much everyday after work, long colder day runs. As part of my layering system hunting or just out with dog. I’d buy more if I had more money."

"This merino base layer is very comfortable, form fitting, warm, and allows moisture to pass through. The sleeves are long enough and stay in-place under the next layer. Only wish the hood was more form fitting to the head; it’s too loose. However, I do recommend purchase of this hoodie."

- Does this shrink after washing?
- If you machine wash cold and lay it flat to dry it will not shrink, but if you use heat in the wash or dryer it could shrink
