"I have a few of these in my Kuiu collection !! Great, warm base layer for cold conditions. . I have a week long hunt in wyoming late oct, early november. Snowed on us for 2 days last year. and was -4 the next morning. . COLD. . but I was warm in my Kuiu gear!@"

A perfect base layer

"This long sleeve merino is perfect for cool, cold or rainy weather under a fleece or shell or light rain jacket so you don’t get sticky. Also good open in warmer weather when sun protection and wicking desired. And wont melt to you if hit with IED. Though I haven’t tried this out yet. A tighter weave than I have experienced in other merino wool base layers. Less prone to contact wear and holing I think. I easily washed in sink and dried quickly."

"I like it no complaints. I'm hard on products within a 24 hours of having it . I already had a couple holes in it from tracking my daughters deer in TN briars . I can't fault the product . It's just part of hunting close to bedding areas in TN"

Been using this for archery

"Been using this for archery season in Colorado and it has been a great second layer. I ordered a size up which fits just right. Excellent on warm days and gives me outstanding range of motion. I highly recommend."

Not worth it

"After only a few washes, the fabric started getting weak and falling apart in multiple places. I followed the washing instructions on the tag to a T, never snagged it on anything, never burned it, and it wasn’t caused by an abrasion or tear. I only wore it as a base layer underneath other clothing, so it wasn’t exposed to much wear and tear in the first place. What’s even more frustrating it is not covered under warranty, saying “it doesn’t fall under warranty coverage, For the price of the product, I expected the material to hold up much better than this. Very disappointed with the quality and especially with the warranty experience."

Q&A

When did you change the construction of these shirts? I just bought one expecting it to be the standard model. It is a slightly lower weight, 120 instead of 125, and the construction is completely different. The reinforced venting on the side is completely gone. This is the kind of shirt I could get anywhere at a much lower price. Do you have any plans to bring back the older version of this shirt?
We launched the ULTRA Merino 120 LT in late spring 2022, and have discontinued the ULTRA Merino 125.
