"I own the proximity jacket and got this to try when it’s not cold enough for the sleeves and hood. It works better than expected and i ended up using it in colder conditions than I planned."

"It's hard to describe a totally quiet, extremely warm, form fitting, purposed pocket vest without detailing the virtues of this vest. Checks all the boxes. Paired with the proper base layer, one can hunt without a jacket. For colder temps and an insulated Gore-Tex jacket, one can stay out all day into darkness waiting on your quarry. Best vest I've worn in 40 years."

"This is a great vest. Not only does it have a super warm to weight ratio, it very quiet. I am labeled as one of the "Sitka Boys" but in reality, I own just as much Kuiu as I do Sitka. Each have their strong points and anyone that just stubbornly choses one over the other is missing out on some good combinations. I personally could care less who made it if it works as advertised. In my personal experience both are quality products, and I use them both, sometimes together as a system, and get a better result than either brand can do individually."

"Absolutely love it. I am not a vest guy. Bought this on sale since the proximity jacket and pants are the best thing I own. This vest did not disappoint. Keeps my core warm and is perfect from cooler temps to frigid. I’m out the last day of rifle in PA where it is 3 degrees in the morning. I’m toasty in all my proximity clothes. I’m 6’ 200(ish) lbs. Nice vest, broken zipper
"Zipper broke 1st time out Got this prior to rut In Wisconsin. Online will not allow an exchange for faulty apparel. Therefore I called and was told I would have to go through warranty. They informed me that I would have to ship it to a third party in Oregon. They would fix it and send it back. I sent the vest as instructed. Well the rut has come and gone, no vest back yet. I’ll just have to look forward to using it next year"

- Would you guys put a hood on a vest. When it's cold I use a vest as a outer layer and a hood rocks this set up.

- Gentlemen, I'm always curious as to how you define your temperature ranges, when describing your clothing. I live in WI. Cold to me is likely quite different than to someone living in the southern part of the country. I consider cold right around 32, and frigid around the mid-teens and lower. Is your description in that range ? Thank You. Mike G.
