"I bought shirt because Kuiu discontinued my go to Peloton 97 shirt. So far I’ve worn this shirt three full days as a mid layer and a top layer while hunting gold, finding and exploring old mines and many miles of hiking. So far so good, no rips or abrasions from manzanita or backpack straps. Seems to wick moisture well. Normally I wear a Kuiu XL but the L in this top fit me better."

Favorite Shirt

"Functions perfectly to regulate heat, stays cool when hot out, provides a layer of warmth when cool. I wear this with a bamboo tank underneath, and wear my Kuiu shirts 145-200 at least a few times per week. If you are OK paying Kuiu prices, it is the highest quality and best fitting gear/clothing available in the marketplace. I'm 6'0", 210lbs. Large is a perfect fit without being snug and without any bagginess. XL is a little baggy."

kuiu’s best base layer for the cold

"Their merino pro 200 lineup is my favorite base layer for cold conditions. I do prefer the Henley cuz the hood on the zip hoodie kinda just feels like an after thought that I’d rather just not have to deal with but they only made the hoodie version in black so I got this one so I could have black as well as the other Henley colors. I’ve worn these for weeks nearly everyday without ever washing them and they still never stink. I’ve never found a shirt/base layer that does a better job at thermoregulating you than Kuiu’s merino wool lineup. It takes a lot to start to feel too hot or too cold when you have these on as your base layer. The only shortcoming is potentially the durability. Do not wear these as an outer layer for anything besides lounging around the house or maybe going out for the night. They snag pretty easily and you’ll have little stringy things coming off of them. I cut them off with scissors if I get one that shows up but like I said just make sure you’re not wearing them as an outer layer when you’re out hiking or roughing it and you should be mostly fine. If you try trailblazing by with these on they’ll be destroyed within ten minutes. It’s also a slight hassle having to wash them with wool detergent. I have tried using regular detergent so maybe it doesn’t matter much but kuiu recommends not to. It’s not that big of a deal though if you wear it for weeks before worrying about washing it lol they seriously do take forever before they start to get even the slightest odor. Also the big reason why I pick their wool lineup over synthetics is cuz synthetics just tend to get weird nasty smells once you get them sweaty. I’ve never had that problem with any of Kim’s wool stuff. Another big reason why I prefer their merino stuff."

Perfect Shirt for hunting / thermal / everyday nice wear

"This is literally my favorite shirt that I own. I wear it as a sub layer, a workout layer and it's even nice enough looking to wear as a shirt in a professional setting. Also, as a shorter guy (5' - 6"/athletic) I often find that shirts are too long but this fits perfect! I own 3 now."

Poor durability

"Durability issue for me. After a few light uses I have threads pulling out all over the front. My older Pro 200 is just fine after years of hunting in it. Now I’m dealing with the warranty process because I can’t return."

For the price, horrible quality

"This product is supposed to be rugged outdoor where it’s nowhere near it. It was horrible quality. I did a outdoor cardio for two hours and I came home and the material had started to shred apart and then I washed it and made it even worse and the company refused to honor any type of return or quality control so I won’t be buying it from them again."
