"This shirt is super comfortable. I got the shirt in blue to wear as one of my fall / winter long sleeve shirts. It fits great. I love the thumb loops. The chest pocket is too small for a phone, I don’t know what you’d put there. Sleeves fit well, but a little tight around the wrist, probably by design. Makes it hard to check my watch. And be sure to check the material. It’s merino, which was advertised, but I didn’t know beforehand that it needed special washing."

Merino Wool that's Comfortable

"Wore this product in 40 degrees with 15 MPH wind. Great as a base layer due to how soft it feels. Most merino wool is really good at creating warmth, but this is the first product I've worn that is warm AND comfortable. Looking forward to using this as my base layer from this point forward."

Great midlayer

"Very comfy, its mostly all wool with just a thin textured polyester outer layer. It does get snags fairly easily, about as easy as plain wool. Only odd thing with all their shirts is how they put the same size Kuiu emblem on the back scapula of the shirt. Makes it kinda confusing finding the front side at a glance especially on their t-shirts. I wear large t-shirts anf the large top fits my nicely, not too tight but not baggy."

Fits looser than expected for a functional base layer

"Fits looser than expected for a functional base layer I really like the material and the overall design/style of the top. However, the sizing is off for its intended purpose. I wear size L in everything, and a proper base layer needs to fit tight against the skin to effectively wick away sweat and moisture. Unfortunately, this size L fits very loosely on me. If this specific model is meant to have a relaxed or loose fit, that should be clearly stated in the product description. A base layer simply cannot perform properly and wick moisture if it isn't fitting snugly. That is a major downside for me."

Great fit for guys with a flat stomach

"I’m 5’9” 195 with an athletic build and most men’s shirts and jackets are way too big on my stomach. This could be a little slimmer but has a nice tapered fit compared to most. Nice and warm for the light weight."

"Truth be told, I would love this in 2xl tall, but I go with 3xl for the arm length. I am a huge fan of Kuiu products. Everything I have gotten has been high quality. I have no complaints about their items."

"The color scheme on the shirt I received was much darker than what was depicted on your web site. I doubt that I will be able to use it for waterfowl hunting, which is what I bought it for. Very disappointed as I was excited about having an alternative to Sitka."

So does this have a hood or not? The pics on the page show it with a hood and pics without. Thanks.
The Pro Merino 200 Zip-T does not have a hood, but we do also offer the Pro Merino 200 Zip-T Hoodie which does have a hood
Is this the warmest base layer you have?
This is more of a mid layer than a base layer. That said, it is soft enough to worn next-to-skin. You might want to consider wearing the ULTRA Merino 145, which is our heaviest base layer, and wear the PRO Merino 200 over the top as a mid layer.
