Reviews

Seems Okay for now time will tell

"The jacket fits well. Arms seems just a bit short. Being a slim 6’1” I don’t need the chest space but do need the length in the arms. I have almost every jacket KUIU makes in XL and they are all great. I purchased this rain jacket to be used in and round town. It looks great. I do wish they offered other solid colors for non hunting. It remains to be seen how it works in the field. I wish KUIU would send me a review in a year. I would give a much different response and much more accurate report."

Love the fit and features

"I needed a rain jacket for an upcoming hunt in March 2027. I got this jacket on sale and love the fit and features. I have not had the chance to use it yet as living in California not much rain in August and September. If it keeps to the quality of my other KUIU products I have hunted with this last year, I'm sure it will hold up well. GM"

Comfortable, dry and stylish

"Great lightweight jacket to wear for non-hunting travel. Only downside it that its a little tight across the chest (I have a 40 in chest/32 in waist). I need to open the pit zips to feel comfortable which is OK since this will be a warm weather jacket. FYI I bought the large 1st and it was too big/long in the sleeves"

Good Stuff

"Recently wore on a black bear hunt in Nova Scotia, held up well while beating around the brush. Tougher than I had anticipated. True to size, I typically wear XL in kuiu jackets but the large fit perfectly and allowed room for layering. I wouldn’t pay full price for it, I got it on sale for 40% off. I have many pieces from kuiu and all have been great."

A jacket that punches well above its weight

"Awesome coat. I bought this to use for deer stalking and when out with the dog for a walk. It’s light, not too loud and fits really well. I have not worn it in heavy rain yet but it’s been out in some pretty nasty showers and it kept me dry, exactly what I needed it to do."

— Joshua P. (5/5)

In progress

"First time seeing it and yea looks great, Frist time out in the rain great, the water runs off like a ducks back. Second time water is starting to sink into the outer layer and holding water so I'll try again when it rains and when it rains here in Wales it rains for weeks"

— Ben E. (3/5)

Good jacket for the price.

"Has kept me dry in SE Alaska rain. My only issue is the wrist straps seems to close opposite of every other jacket I have. I will get used to it, just different. XL fits my frame well with a little extra room for layers."

— Brandal G. (4/5)

High-quality jacket

"I've worn the jacket in light rain, on a slightly chilly night, and while walking through common gorse. I'm very happy with how it performed in all three situations. I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up in heavy rain."

— Joaquín M. (5/5)

Love it

"Just got it for an archery Elk hunt and it rained lightly for a number of days. Jacket performed great, I really like the soft feel finish, and weight. Highly recommend for the price"

— Zackery A. (5/5)

really good quality

"really good jacket, keeps you dry, I wear all M/L and bought this in L, sleves are a bit longer and waist a bit tighter, but maybe the XL would be too big"

— Dragan I. (5/5)

Q&A

Why do your jackets absorb rain water like a sponge and make you wet and cold? I bought a new jacket for a trip to Japan and the first time I wore it - it SUCKED. Kuiu management really failed on this one. I'm POed.
