For years, I lived and breathed waterfowl hunting — guiding sunup to sundown 90+ days a year, chasing birds across the plains of Oklahoma, getting caught in the fast tempo rhythm of the season, and losing myself in the constant chase of tomorrow. When I stepped away to find stability for my family, I thought I was closing one chapter. But what I really did was create a space I didn’t know how to fill.
Call making has brought me "home" again. Really, more of a purpose in my passion for waterfowl. Working each piece by hand — feeling the grain, shaping the tone — it’s more than craft. It’s a way to honor the roots of the sport and the memories that shaped me. I no longer take the moments for granted — the quiet before dawn, the whistle of wings overhead. Every call reminds me of where I’ve been, and why I’ll always come back.
