Yukon rain jacket

"Sleeves in the lower arms are far too tight to wear layers. Seal at the wrist too tight to take the jacket off without turning the sleeve inside out. Fit in body and shoulders was good. I’ll order another set of Chugach. Hopefully these have been redesigned with too tight of sleeves."

Farmer boy wrists

"It’s entirely reliable even in the torrential downpours of early April, I’ve spent a number of days exploring the reliability of the latest gear drone tidewe-guide gear and this Yukon is the ticket that tells the rain and wind your ass is grass and I’m the lawnmower, even so the cuffs need to be pre stretched in order for the sleeves to slip off of your wrists otherwise they get stuck after a good sweat and absolutely nothing will slip under the cuffs like a much needed down layer undergarment that insulates your arms and that’s if you have larger farmer boy wrists."

Seems Like A Great Waterproof Shell

"This shell is one of the most well built & well thought out jackets I've ever seen and it appears to be rugged as hell. It's a little noisy, but not bad like some of those Gore-Tex Pro potato chip bag sounding shells. I ordered a Sitka Downpour for $400 at the same time and although more quiet, it's not as heavy duty as the Yukon TR. It seemed thin & flimsy by comparison for the money. The XXL fit me well (true to size), but I went with the 3XL in order to get a RAB Electron Pro down jacket underneath. I can't wait to test it out in late October this year."

"I ordered size large and it was way too small. I tried to return the items ( pants and jacket ) and there were no xl sizes available until late October. My Alaska moose hunt is in September. I followed the size chart that was suggested."

Better than Kutana, but still noisy material

"The material is still a bit noisy for bowhunting. The wrist sleeves are extremely tight. The fit, features, and noise level is better than the Kutana Storm Shell originally purchased. That product needs work: extremely loud for bowhunting, the hood fit is terrible, and pocket sizes small and lack thereof on the pants made me return it. Overall, the value for Kuiu for the price paid is still too high. They would not let me give an honest rating for Kutana Storm Shell."

Q&A

can you guys please go back to old style sleeve cuffs, hood, and cut. Finally replaced my old style yukon with the new one and it lasted 6 days until the rubber cuffs started to rip, also the fit of the new yukons are very boxy, tight in the shoulders.

Why no 4X in the Yukon rainwear and the Haven jacket ?
We do not offer 4XL in those items at this time, but we would be happy to notify the development team that there is interest so we can hopefully see them soon!
Is there an easy way to remove the inner cuffs? I can barely put this jacket on and take it off through the tiny cuffs.
