"Completed a successful elk hunt last week near Ruidoso, NM. I wore my gaiters. They were easy to secure to my lower legs and boots. Yes, they kept water and some prickly plants from penetrating. What they failed to prevent were any type of plant or cactus that had straight spines. I purposely avoided the cactus while traversing through thick brush; however there were plants that had spines that penetrated my gaiters and attack pants and still embedded my skin. I pulled 6 spear like spines from my left lower leg. Will I continue to use these gaiters? Absolutely! Recommendation to Kuiu: research to find a protective fiber to reinforce the gaiters to prevent penetration."

"These gaiters have done everything I’ve needed them to do so far & have held up well with the use I’ve put them through. I do see a couple of potential weak points in the design that could cause problems down the road, but so far they haven’t given me any issues. I have pretty big legs and was surprised that they actually run a little big on me."

"This is my second pair. We will see how they hold up. The last pair lasted me 7 years. The only thing that failed was the snap. I replaced it. They are still in use. Just wanted another pair I can leave in AK"
