Overview
The Women’s Chugach TR rain gear system earns its keep on tough unsupported backcountry hunts when staying dry, covering miles of country, and keeping overall gear weight to a minimum are crucial.
The design goal was a packable rain gear system with durability for extreme mountain hunts, plus excellent breathability and stretch to keep hunters comfortable even at elevated levels of exertion. This full-featured rain jacket includes pit-zip ventilation, adjustable cuffs, a 2-way adjustable hood, and multiple zippered pockets.
The seams in any garment add weight, introduce potential failure points, and are less water resistant. The new Chugach TR leverages a strategic build to eliminate seams wherever possible. This streamlined design is more durable, lighter weight, and has less bulk while packed away.
The Jacket design features raglan sleeves with a seamless shoulder for added comfort while wearing a pack. The sleeve cuff tabs are strategically placed for best compatibility for bowhunting with no bulk on the inner forearm for optimal bowstring clearance. The zippered hand pockets are raised to not interfere with backpack hip belt.
Featuring comfortable 4-way stretch Primeflex Nylon fabric, the Chugach TR does not restrict your movements, keeping you free to draw a bow, shoulder a rifle, or reach above your head while climbing.

TORAIN WATERPROOF SYSTEM FEATURING DERMIZAX HDM MEMBRANE
Unlike ordinary waterproof fabrics, Torain combines premium spandex-free Primeflex face fabrics, with a highly breathable Dermizax HDM microporous hydrophobic membrane, and circular knit backer. The fully seam-taped system provides waterproof performance the competition can’t match. You get enhanced breathability, lower water retention, increased hydrolysis resistance, and better long-term durability.

Primeflex Nylon fabrics solve the problem of restrictive clothing by utilizing a patented spiral yarn that allows the fabric to stretch and recover without using water-absorbing spandex. Primeflex fabrics are quick dry and offer durability, comfort, and stretch without the weight.
K-DWR® (KUIU DURABLE WATER REPELLENT)
Once a fabric is soaked, insulation and breathability are compromised. K-DWR treatments bead and resist water, keeping it from penetrating the outer layer. This increased breathability and performance allow waterproof membranes to evaporate your sweat while blocking out moisture. K-DWR also enhances dry-time and protects from light rain or dew-soaked vegetation on non-waterproof products.
