"I will be using this bag for a trip to Alaska. I was able to get pack frame and trekking poles with everything else I’m taking in this bag. Seems decently durable but will see how it holds up since I haven’t left yet. I originally ordered the waypoint 10400 but didn’t want to pay for the oversized luggage costs at the airports"
"Great travel bag fits everything love the way it’s like a backpack and suitcase mix."
"Excellent just right for 5-7 days or pack for two for 3-5 days for all content to be dry hopefully I can aquire The hole set!!!"
"This bag has the right interior pockets so you can stash snivel items and get to them quickly. The pack straps come off easily so you can store them inside so the airline gorillas don’t destroy them. It’s well thought out for trip needs."
"Great bag, perfect size, lots of internal pockets"
"The Waypoint 5500 duffel worked well on a recent trip. No problems with the airlines. I like all of the zipper compartments. I was able to pack wet shoes/dive socks in the outer area. It packs more easily into a small rental car than a hard suitcase."
"Great bag"
"Just used this bag on a three week trip across Europe, and it exceeded my expectations. Over the course of the trip it was checked on multiple flights, tossed onto luggage racks on trains, hauled through airports and train stations, carried on my back using the backpack straps for long walks to and from hotels, and generally subjected to everything you’d expect from a busy European vacation. The bag came through it all looking great. Just the usual wear and tear, scuffs and marks from air and train travel. The materials are tough, the zippers performed flawlessly, and the backpack straps made it easy to carry when I needed to be hands free. Fully loaded, my bag was just over 20 kg (44 lb) when the airline weighed it for the outbound flight, and I had no problem carrying it. If I had to nitpick, I would say that after about 30 minutes of carrying my fully loaded bag using the backpack straps, I could feel it a bit in my shoulders. But I also recognize I was carrying almost 50lbs on my back. For the kind of travel this bag is designed for, I think it performed extremely well, and I would have no problem carrying it that way again. Because I knew I’d be checking it on multiple flights, taking it on various train trips, hauling it through airports/train stations and to and from hotels, I did a lot of research before buying this bag. After three weeks of real world use, I can confidently say I am very happy with my choice. I will absolutely be taking this bag on another international trip."
