"I recently purchased this “carry on” size piece of equipment for a 10 day trip to Hawaii. It was able to accommodate everything I required for my length of stay and extra. The suit case survived normal conditions you would expect when using an overhead bin but to my dismay on the way back had to be checked due to an overcrowded flight. Survived that too. What most surprised me about it was that my new “kit” was in the bed of the truck for over an hour in torrential rain and nothing inside got wet. Not sure if that’s the designs intent but this one is made of the right stuff!"

"Overall I like the bag, I’ve used it three times now on weeklong trips. It seems like it is going to hold up well. My only complaint is that the handle to short, I’m 6’1” and have kicked the bag several times while walking to and from the plane. My previous bags handle was several inches longer and had multiple adjustments to customize the length, if you’re 5’9” or shorter you shouldn’t have any problems. I travel half the year so I’ll see how it holds up to long term use."

"I bought this thing on a whim while at the kuiu store in Houston. I didn’t even know they made luggage. A few weeks later it was crammed into the nose compartment of a single prop plane headed to the jungle of Honduras for a week long mission trip. I didn’t go easy on it; mud, dust, rain, you name it. I’m generally not hard on my things, but I do want to know that they can hold up when things get tough and it did. It simply did its job, flawlessly. On the way home I gave it a good wipe down with a washcloth and it was as good as new. We had a long layover so i spent some time at the lounge and among the dozens of black and tin foil colored carryons was my kuiu bag. It definitely stood out. Not in an obnoxious “hey look at me!” Way, but in a way that said “I’m different than you and I don’t apologize for it, because my job is different from yours. ” And that’s exactly what I wanted in a new travel bag. My old bag crossed every ocean and survived 30+ countries with me. . I expect to do the same with this one. God bless"

"This is a good example of a company that’s not primarily focused travel, but due to a need within their customer base, has come up with a product that outshines most of the companies that are focused on travel. Everything about this is well thought out and doesn’t cut corners in quality in order to save a buck and increase profits. For this reason, I can always trust KUIU to make something that I trust will be higher quality than most other companies, even if it’s not their specialty. Ironic how that works."
