Reviews

Venture Divide 3000

"The pack is light, but does offer good support. My only suggestion that I have made in the past is it is too bad that they don't put molle panels along the hip belt and a molle panel on the back of the packs. I much prefer the multitude of different pouches that are molle compatible that can be attached to a hip belt or back rather than the pockets that are fixed on the current hip belt."

Good quality, design deficiencies

"The frame and straps are super comfortable. There is ample room for what I do, but in my opinion, inefficiently organized. It has only one outer pocket on the pack, plus two on the belt. The interior is mainly two large pockets, with a couple of smaller pockets inside. There are access zippers to the interior on the sides where pockets good go. It would possible to have both pockets and an access zipper on the side with better design. The pockets on the belt are back near your kidneys, so basically blind access while wearing the pack. It would be nice if the belt pockets could slide forward on the belt for easier access. While they sell an orange cover for rifle hunting, it would be nice of the pack were offered in orange. I give it four stars for the quality, but the functionality is really only three stars."

Built solid but not for everyone

"I with the draw sting system on top was a zipper the pouches are a good idea but I would like to keep my bibs concealed after use and I feel the large pouch with a buckle over system does not do that. Lastly this thing is on the heavier side but if it holds up for a decade I will take the extra weight"

The Swiss Army Knife of packs!

"I wanted a day pack, but also wanted a pack for my 13 year old, that would be comfy and carry a pile of gear!! He’s an animal! He’s got two deer and we got an elk already, and the pack has been absolutely perfect for chucking all my optics and tripods in, after getting an animal..for him to carry down! While our packs have all the meat. We can’t believe how perfect it has been!!"

4 stars

"Ive always rated kuiu 5 stars but what were they thinking when designing the top opening of the main compartment of this bag? Love everything about the bag but this. For kuiu to not go with full zip top opening was a bad idea."

Divide 3000

"My first daypack I have purchased since the mid 90s. I recently bought this pack specifically for the ability to carry my spotting scope installed on the tripod. I used it on a pronghorn hunt a few days ago and was impressed. The various compartments will take some getting used to, but it is easy to keep your equipment separated and organized. Multiple times we were able to quickly deploy the spotting scope to determine whether or not to pursue a specific animal. I really like the pockets on the waistband, I used them to carry spare ammo and a spare knife, but can see multiple uses for these. One improvement I would want to see is the pockets on both sides at the bottom appear to be designed to carry nalgene or similar water bottles, but the material stretches too much and the tend to work loose when walking, I ran a compression strap through the keeper on the lid, but I believe it would be a very minor modification to make these pockets taller and zip completely closed to fit a standard 1 qt bottle. I realize you can purchase a hydration bladder and may look into that in the future. Overall, really pleased with the pack and highly recommend it."

One size isn’t working

"The pack has excellent overall quality. Love the Valo pattern. The one size isn’t the best and doesn’t quite fit my torso. A better conceived rifle and bow sling would be awesome."

— Walter L. (3/5)

Best Bag for me

"Best bag ever! It will literally carry the kitchen sink"

— Shane P. (5/5)

Elk pack!

"My last elk pack’s main zipper broke after 10 years and this new pack has not disappointed! It rides a little higher than my last, which is preferred and has plenty of room. Git ya one!"

— Scott B. (5/5)

Great pack

"Great design. Great engineering."

Q&A

Can this or the 2000 version be used as carry-on, going under the airplane seat?
The 2000 would be the better option, but you will also not want to pack it all the way if you plan to put it under the seat.
How much meat can this realistically pack out?
It is rated to carry about 45lbs
What are the external dimensions of this pack (LxWxH)?
When stuffed, the sizing is 23''x13''x7''. The top tapers so the depth is smaller than 7'' at the top.
