"This is a very nice light weight combination down and synthetic filled vest. Although it was designed for layering, it fails as a stand alone vest for cold weather. I like the size of the zippered outside pockets and the right side lower inside pocket but I would like to have a chest height vertical slash zippered inside pocket on the right side that can hold a check book that is totally enclosed. All zippers are too delicate and should be heavy duty. A retractable hood with strings should be built into the back of the collar. The combination of down and synthetics is disappointing and should be at least a 700 count goose down that will assure warmth in very cold weather although it will be more bulky. This type of vest can be introduced into your deer hunting category. I have hunted deer when the temperatures have been in the 35 degree below zero range with winds ranging from 15 to 30 miles per hour."
