Warmer than Standard but too much added bulk.
"It is a bulky sock and it is warm but not so much warmer than a normal wool/poly blend with a thinner silhouette. In other words, it is not warmer enough to make me reach for it 90% of the time or want to deal with the added bulk. I tested this hiking in snow and wading in 37º water. I think it was slightly warmer than my traditional merino wool and polyester wool socks, but very slightly and I still got cold toes after about 3 hours in that water (under neoprene booty and wading boot. ) . It is looser knit and great for breathability despite being so warm. I think I would only choose this on days I would be hiking in below 30º or wading below 38º. Good not great."
