"Medium to light weight comfort, color and comfort meet my expectations, can be worn under rain or heavier layer jacket, but comfortable for the 25 to 50 range weather, front zipper makes easy to get on and off and nice to regulate heat transfer ff need to cool down with full zipper allowing benefit 1/4 and 1/2 zips can’t offer. All in all a good value with comfort for the price."

"If you are contemplating buying this jacket. Contemplate no more. It is advertised for waterfowl but this is the ultimate early season jacket for the mobile whitetail hunter who primarily utilizes a saddle. With higher pockets for your hands, you don’t have to worry about fighting the saddle to access the pockets. This is also a fantastic layering piece for late season. Layer this under a heavier outer layer and you’re good to do down below freezing."

My New Favorite Winter Jacket

"I recently purchased the KUIU StrongFleece 290 WF Full Zip in Ash, and I couldn’t be happier with it. While KUIU is best known for hunting gear, I’m a fisherman, and I’ve learned over the years that some hunting apparel makes excellent fishing gear as well—and this jacket proves it. The fabric feels extremely durable, with just the right amount of stretch to make it very comfortable to wear. It’s impressively warm without being bulky. I use it as a mid-layer on cold days and as an outer layer when the temperatures are milder, and it performs great in both roles. I chose the Ash color instead of camo so I could wear it day to day, and it looks good in any setting. I normally wear a large but sized up to an XL, and the fit is spot on—comfortable without being sloppy. The chest pocket is perfectly sized for a cell phone. This has quickly become my favorite jacket to wear this winter."
