"Very comfortable heavyweight base layer; also comfortable as a stand-alone layer down to the upper 20's. Face fabric feels durable and cuts the wind pretty well. Got a size medium which is a nice relaxed but not loose fit for my 5ft 10 inch 170 lbs; also bought a size small for layering underneath shell pants when things get really cold. The small is a trim, but not snug fit for me. These are definitely a step above other similar things I have for the same intended use."

Very good wader pants.

"Very warm and work great under the Kuiu waders. I hunt in Northern California, so I can only attest to their warmth for temps in high 30’s to low 50’s. If you hunt in colder areas, I would put on another layer. The stirrups are flat and fit comfortably under your foot. I ordered the 2XL but probably should have ordered the 3XL. If you’re closer to next size up on the chart, order the bigger size."

Strong Fleece 290 Plants

"The new Strong Fleece 290 pants are versatile and a great start to any layering system. Their maiden voyage was under my waders fishing in below zero Fahrenheit temps. They kept me warm all day long in 33 degree water. They are very comfortable whether you wear them casually, lounging around the house, or outside doing what you like to do. I will be buying more."

Put a thick elastic waist

"Put a thick elastic waist band with zipper fly and snap button closer and get rid of the draw string. Thought they would be a match to my 275 hoodie but not as thick. Do the same on the Kenai pants as well. Otherwise a great layering piece that is super comfortable."
