"On the surface the tent appears to be exactly what I am looking for. It will be set up and tested a few time this summer and carried in my pack for training hikes. It was purchased for a fall caribou and bear hunt in Alaska. Unfortunately we bent a pole during the first set up. The reason for the 3 stars is the lack of spare parts Kuiu provides for their equipment. I had the opportunity to return it as a warranty claim but I broke it. Not my style. It’s incredibly unfortunate that a Brand Recognition Company of their caliber doesn’t stock replacement/spare parts for the equipment they sell. Furthermore even if the tent works and the aftermarket/custom pole parts I had find works, I probably won’t sponsor or support the company or brand moving forward."

Storm tent

"Haven’t had a chance to use it yet. But it is the second one that I have owned. And I have had great experience and usage of the first one. Only question I would have to Kuiu, is why they don’t have orange color to be offered anymore versus this color pattern? Sometimes you just Want to be more visible."

Best tent I've slept in

"Solid, easy to set up tent. Very well made and you get what you pay for. I slept in it well for a week in Utah during high winds with rain and was completely dry and rested the whole time."

Great tent, solid construction

"Great tent, nice details, solid! Some details could be improved, like connecting footprint to rain fly: see how e. g. Hilleberg has done that. The gear loft tends to disconnect when pitching the tent after packing it (of course I leave it in), I’ll have to figure out a slightly better detailing there. Minor remarks for a great tent, although I would have liked 5-10cm more length (I’m 1,95m) in the inner, camping with my son who has my length is a pretty tight fit. Solo camping no problem."

Excellent bit of kit

"Great quality, a bombroof build which is ideal for unpredictable four season weather in the Scottish Highlands; the taut fly sheet and inner means it's very quiet in the wind and ideally spacious for one person winter campling plus relatively light for a four season tent - what's not to like - hint, a hexagonal ground mat measuring 220 x 260 cms fits it perfectly including the vestibules (e. g. from Hikeman), ideal for winter."

The Quietest Tent On The Market - Sleep Better Anywhere

"My GoTo option for tough conditions solo or year round as a couple. Excels in wind with less noise inside than any other tent I can remember. Has some design detail niggles they really should have designed out after years on, sale but they are just niggles. The wild weather performance is worth it."

Good tent, only small things I would change

"I really like the tent. However, the organiser for the inner tent roof should be included in the price. The door openers for the inner tent doors are perfectly positioned, but too low down. Overall, the door openers are very fiddly. The price is relatively high for a PU-coated tent. However, I was able to buy my tent at a discount and am very happy with it. The tent is very stable and can be easily set up with hooks and clips in windy conditions. That was the reason I chose this tent – the ability to set it up in windy conditions. The line tensioners could be a little larger and the lines thicker (gloves). Otherwise, it's great! Translated with DeepL. com (free version)"
