Reviews

Just what I've been looking for.

"I've been searching for a pack to free up my chest area for climbing in and out of hang-on stands using climbing sticks. Inevitably, something would get caught and at my age I need to limit risks. This pack, coupled with the bottle holder to hold my thermos, really fits the bill. While pricey, it's loaded with loops and straps to carry my rattling horns firmly and out of the way in addition to other items I carry. I also like the feature to strap it to the tree so I can do so at a comfortable height for easy access to my gear. Looking forward to using it this archery season."

Awesome pack . I travel

"Awesome pack . I travel 9-13 miles a day during a 8 week hunting season and this is the most comfortable pack I ever owned. Straps are thin enough so they don’t interfere with shouldering my rifle."

"Although I have not field tested it yet, I believe it’s going to be everything I was hoping for. Went over it with the gear I want to use in it for the early archery season. With all the storage compartments and main storage area it’s definitely going to work for my needs. Thanks Kuiu for another great product."

I like it!

"Pros: - Lots of configurations. - Quality build. - Right size for a day hunt. Cons: - Expensive. - Why no water holder? It's almost a 5, I don't like giving 5s but if I did, this would probably get one."

Love almost everything!

"Very comfortable, nice quality, so far love Everton about it. . . except the attachment points for the water bottle holder! The are upside down in my opinion. A short hike with a water bottle in it, one side came unhooked and was flopping around. The pack itself is awesome!"

Scout 1000

"Out of box experience is great. I added a water bottle holder and phone holder to add more purpose built storage. Easy to add accessories and integrates extremely well. The pack is light but well made. Carry’s a load well. My favorite part of the bag is how everything seems to have a designated spot. Great scouting, glassing, early season bag!"

Troy S. (5/5)

Kuiu Scout 1000

"It appears to be made of high quality material, just like all Kuiu products. Unfortunately it is summer in Pa. And not hunting season, however this piece of gear will be perfect for what I need for deer hunting. I chose gray. Color was a hard decision because I have all of the Kuiu camo hunting outfits. You can’t go wrong with Kuiu products. Cost is a little high but when it comes to gear that will last a long time you get what you pay for."

Randy K. (5/5)

Nice early season pack

"Bought this pack for early season saddle hunting when I don’t need to pack in extra layers. I’m able to keep the weight of my platform tight against my back so it doesn’t pull back on the shoulder straps like other bags I use. This also helps eliminate having a tall profile off your back that gets hung up when crawling under branches and brush. I did add a slim plastic liner to the bottom of the main compartment to add a little more rigidity with my climbing sticks attached to the bottom."

David W. (5/5)

Hip Bag

"The very best hip bag I’ve ever had. I figured out a way to mount my KUIU chest binocular holder to it and wear it backwards so everything I use is right in front of me and easily accessible without having to take it off, and don’t affect my saddle pack and gear."

Timothy M. (5/5)

Not small frame friendly.

"If you’re a big person this might work for you. But if you’re a small framed person or female probably don’t. Not very adjustable. Belt is just way too big."

Q&A

If the straps are removed could you reverse it and wear it in the front while in a treestand? Standing looks like it would but not sure about sitting
Yes you technically could use it in the front as well
are you considering adding the vias color scheme or blaze orange option (so you wont have to wear a separate vest)? I like all my gear to be in vias or orange. also will the tree stand straps be strong enough to haul a deer with a rope or act as a harness?
We have not yet been informed of additional colors coming out, but we would be happy to notify the development team that there is interest!
What is the purpose of the extra straps on the back of the shoulder straps up high on the yoke?
They are additional compression straps for carrying items like a rolled up jacket or climbing sticks
Any chance to incorporate this into a binoharness?
We do not have that feature at this time, but we would be happy to notify the development team that there is interest so we can hopefully see the option soon!
