Really like the coat, quiet

"Really like the coat, quiet and warm. Normally wear a large but went with a XL for extra layering in cold to frigid weather. Glad I did. Only slight knock is the sleeve cuffs are pretty tight around wrists. This seems to be a common trait as my other KUIU coat is the same. Not a problem if your mid-layers have thumb holes. Definitely a a good purchase."

"Love this new camo, fits incredible, comfortable, quiet and warm! My only complaint, not even really a complaint. I was kind of sad I didn’t get at least one Kuiu sticker to put on the meat freezer with my order. I spent a fair amount on the new camo and thought maybe they’d toss one or two in. "Ordered proximity jacket and pants. I’m 6’1” 225lb and went off what the Kuiu sizing charts on the website said. Both fit great with enough room to layer but are not bulky and I can shoot my bow easily. They are very quiet when moving around and are very warm. Great NW PA whitetail setup

"I really like this set for whitetail hunting NW Pennsylvania. The new Veros color is great for hunting the timber. I am usually in between a medium and large and definitely needed the large in the coat. My waist is usually in between 32 and 34 and definitely needed the 34. I also like how the pants are offered in a short inseam length. Overall I’m really happy with this whitetail setup!"

Q&A

Which size should I buy? For example, i have a peleton 240 in size L, which fits me well. Should I order a size L for this jacket as well? I’m 186 in length and 90kg heavy, athletic build ( 6.1ft, 200lbs)
Size Large would be a great choice!
Does this jacket do okay in rain and snow?
It is DWR treated so it will resist light rain and snow well, but will not replace true rain gear if the rain/ snow is coming down hard
Can I buy the hood for this jacket? I was given this as a gift but the hood was not with it.
We unfortunately do not stock extra hoods at this time, but would be happy to pass this along the team so that they are aware there is interest!
I purchased a size xl proximity jacket and feel like it's a bit too big for me. I'm 5'11" 200 and it's just a bit baggy in the belly area and a bit long. I feel like it will get in the way unless I have 2 sweatshirts underneath. if I wash with hot water and dry with heat will it shrink at all or do I need to exchange for a large?
I would recommend purchasing the Large to compare the two side by side and return whichever does not fit best within our 60 day return window. If the Large is too small then you could try shrinking the XL, but I would not recommend that as the first option.
What would be a good mid layer to wear under this, that could also be used as an outer layer in early to mid season northeast tree stand hunting?
