New to Kuiu

"I’m new to Kuiu but made the switch in search of warmth without the weight. At this point, I dropped 4lbs in gear weight by switching from a different brand coat and bibs to Proximity insulated jacket and bibs. Using the layered method I paired a full zip border fleece in large with this XL Proximity jacket. The sizing of the two jackets fit perfectly for me. Three remain before late season whitetail so I cannot provide feedback on the warm or wind resistance of the layered pairing."

Perfect rut gear for saddle hunting.

"While I have not been able to utilize my new Veros Camo Proximity Hooded Coat yet (too warm in Iowa) i was able to use the Valo pant and LT jackets last year. The proximity product line as a whole is warm and silent. . . perfect for whitetail hunting the midwest in the deep winter months. Are the inside of the sleeves “slick” or fleece like?
The sleeves will have a slick feel on the inside
Why does it state that the jacket, if picked as a size small and color Ash, Product Not Available in California and New York? It shows out of stock or ok to ship in any other size or color so, not sure if that’s a mistake or another one of those California “Huh?!”s I don’t really get shocked by anymore.

How water resistant is this jacket?
It is water resistant, but if you are in a decent storm you would need to put a true rain jacket over the top
Is this coat burrs resistant?
The Proximity is an extremely warm and quiet jacket, but it is not ideal for going through thicker terrain and can pick up some burrs
Is this wind proof? How would it compare to something specifically with gore windstopper?
The Proximity Jacket is wind resistant; it utilizes highly wind-resistant SynthaCell® foam membrane for increased wind protection and warmth retention.
