Reviews

It must have for Upland hunting

"These pants are more comfortable that I expected. They have sox zippered vents, three on each leg; the inner thigh vent is great. They kept my legs cool during an early season hunt in the warm high Desert of southern Idaho. The suspenders are a great addition keep the pants from sagging during a ling days hunt. Fit is true to size. Pair these pants with the Kuiu Upland shirt and have a great combination."

So far , so good

"The pants are good so far .... I've only worn them in the field twice ... pushed thru some green briars and barberry and they didn't tear or really get snagged up . They are comfortable, and have many ways to dump heat . Don't really like doing reviews this early in the process ... I'll update after a full season if possible"

Best brush pants ever.

"Best brush pants i have ever used. So lightweight and flexible means i can climb hills and fences like nothing. Used in some jaggers but not extensively yet. Worked great. They almost feel silky slippery without being shiny or noisy. Great job Kuiu. I wear a 32” inseam and bought the 30” that fits great. They usually run a little longer."

iPhone Access

"I love them! I wish there was an easy access left side phone pocket that kept a cell phone easily accessible and upright. Front pocket as configured puts a cell phone at a funny, hard to reach angle. During my recent pheasant/bird hunt in South Dakota there were times when I wanted to pull my phone out, take a picture and put the phone back very quickly... couldn't quite do it with pocket configuration like it is today. Minor nitpick but I figured you might want a 'first time users' input."

Brush pant grouse hunt

"Bought these brush pants for a grouse hunt in northern Minnesota. I put 35 miles in them in three days, going through the thickest brush. I would probably have to buy two more pairs. I love them so much. They held up unbelievably well. Super breathable. Had sticks, twigs, brush putting these pants through the heaviest, thickest of conditions, and they held up unbelievably well."

— James C. (5/5)

Good so far

"I haven’t used it yet, but it seems like it should work well in both cold and warm weather. I’m assuming it might get a little warm during the early-season hunts, but by late October, I can layer up to stay warm. Overall, it seems like a solid piece of gear, and I can’t wait to use it."

— Ger V. (5/5)

Best pair of brush guard

"Best pair of brush guard hunting pants I’ve ever owned and I’ve tried them all: Sitka, Columbia, L. L. Bean and more. I don’t even know they are there. No binding on my knees, 100% flexibility in every direction. I’m going to get a second pair!"

— Ted S. (5/5)

Love these

"I I ordered these for my next hunt. They are perfect perfect thickness. They’re soft quiet the right length I had to order them in a men’s size to get the right inseam. All female options don’t have long enough inseam options and I am 5 ft 9 and I wanted the pant to go over my boot. they’re perfect love the hook on the front to hold down the pant and the option to remove the overalls couldn’t be happier. Nice job guys."

— Jennifer B. (5/5)

pricey but worth it

"very comfortable pants. ideal for early season for Louisiana heat. The zippers on the inside and outside of the thighs are pretty awesome and nice after a long walk in. seem durable but time will tell."

— James S. (5/5)

Thistles

"Just got back from Ruffed Grouse, Woodcock opener in Minnesota. I would love to give ‘em a 5. Good fit (5) I’m 6’3” 255. Repels water (5). Pockets/vents (5). Clip on front cuff to keep pant from riding up (5). All good then I walked into some thistles. Stinging thistles ouch (1.5)…..but my LL Beans would have waded through them, and to be fair the Beans are cold weather brush pant."
