"First time Elk hunting late season, worth the price. This layer worked perfectly. I brought a soft shell outer for glassing in the cold, thrilled with this layer for rucking, tracking and stalking. Good fit and finish.

"Great light weight jacket for casual nights out. I do not use this jacket in the field, I have two in solid colors to wear around town. Cut and fit look sharp and the jacket is not too heavy or warm to wear in the 50-70s. I do have a peoloton vest to wear when packing. Not sure how much heavy abuse it would take but works as a mid or mild conditions outter layer over merino base"

Solid jacket for casual or layering

"I’m 5’11” 180lbs and the M fits well. I’m a decently athletic build so if you have a little extra weight you might want to size up. Quality is top notch and feels well made. Good warmth as well as a stand alone for casual wear or layering in the field. Definitely wouldn’t wear it alone in the field if you’re going to be in the brush as it doesn’t seem like it would hold up well to abrasion."

Thinner than I thought...

"Nice fit. I thought it would be a bit heavier. Could use it on warmer fall days or as a under layer. Not good for an outer layer if you want to layer underneath because its athletic cut. Also needs a chest pocket."

Q&A

Would this be a good item for under my axis jacket in cold weather? 20's and 30's? Basically, is this a warm jacket, not just wind break?
While you could layer the Peloton 240 under the Axis, it might get too heavy or warm. Other options to consider would be Peloton 200 or PRO Merino 200.
