"These are lightweight and thin which works great for temperatures between 40-90 degrees especially when hiking. If you’re sitting a blind below 40 degrees they don’t provide a ton of warmth but there are other variants I would wear for that. The Kutana provides excellent flexibility for high stepping down trees and hill climbing steep terrain. They also did a decent job repelling light rain and deflecting small objects that tend to poke thru."

I DO LIKE THE PANTS

"I DO LIKE THE PANTS VERY MUCH. THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS THAT FOXTAIL SEEDHEAD STICKS COONECTS TO THE PANTS VERY, VERY EASILY. WHEN I WENT TO REMOVE THEM - IT JUST FRAYED THE MATERIAL ON THE PANTS. I HAVE WORN THEM 4 DAYS (WASHED THEM TWICE) AND THEY LOOK PRETTY WORN. I NEVER WOULD HAVE IMAGINED THAT THOSE SEED HEADS WOULD DO THAT MUCH DAMAGE. OTHER THAN THE FABRIC SITUATION --- I LOVE THE PANTS."

Awesome, light weight pants

"I like these pants. Extremely light weight but also pretty durable. I usually wear the Attack pants for early/mid season hunts, but the kutana might be my new go to for early season hunt/scouting trips. The material is very similar to the Born Primitive Frontier Light, but maybe a little more durable fabric than BP?"

Bad fit, worse customer service

"Fit is wrong, customer service is worse. Bought pants same waist as my other kuiu pants, yet they are much wider in the waist. Attempted to exchange but kuiu wants me to pay shipping back to their retail store in TX and won't perform an exchange because apparently their stores won't work together (I live in CO)"

Tough and light

"The kutana is a perfect blend of toughness and light weight. I love the attacks but they can be a little heavy for warmer temperatures. The kutanas are tougher and lighter than the attacks making them a perfect pant for on the go moving especially heavy brush. The shorts are great too"

"haven't had them but a month and the logos and decals what ever you want to call them are already coming off definitely not what I would expect to see out of a pant like this other then that they are light weight and comfortable just feel like they are not going to let long"

These pants absolutely crushed it.

"I’m 5’10”, 185 pounds, and ordered a 32 waist with a 34 inseam, then had them hemmed to a 32.5 inseam. The fit was great. Wore them three days straight on a canoeing and camping trip in the Adirondacks, which is basically a hostile work environment for pants. They performed solidly both in and out of the canoe, comfortable paddling, scrambling around camp, and generally doing whatever questionable outdoor activities I got myself into. Three days, one pair of pants, zero complaints. At this point, I’m pretty sure the pants had a better trip than I did."

Like the pants, but too spendy

"Pros: Thinner fabric weight that allows some air to pass through, fabric durability, the deep front pockets, and thigh zips for venting. I like these pants well enough that I own two pairs. Cons: too pricey in my opinion to pay full price, and I'll only buy when on sale, wish the thigh zips were longer, and the K in the KUIU sticker logo is peeling off one pair already without wearing them all that much. If Outdoor Research made a thigh zip option in their Ferrosi pants, that's what I'd be buying instead. Intend to try Outdoor Vitals pants in the future as well."

Great Pants

"Worn once on a ruffed grouse hunt so far. Very light, seemed to hold up to the brush No snags in the material. Fit is good. Much better than faced jeans. My first pair of technical pants. Kuiu had them on sale so I finally launched. I don’t think I’ll be disappointed after further use."
