Reviews

I was looking for rain

"I was looking for rain gear that also works as a solid wind breaker. The material is strong, but at the same time this jacket allows for good air flow. In my opinion this jacket crushes the competition at this price point."

Jonathan R. (5/5)

Kutana Storm Shell

"Most excellent construction and fit! I purchased based upon online reviews and friend's direct comments combined with a mountain experience of being miserable in my cheap rain gear. The lightweight, function and durability is worth the price of staying dry and on the mountain!"

BRADLEY J. (5/5)

Great gear!

"Great gear! Always fits and the performance is the best in the industry. Have not used this in the field yet but I love how light and packable it is."

William H. (5/5)

Great jacket - balances weight and durability

"After a lot of research I decided on the Kutana jacket. I hunt lower South Island in NZ so plenty of big hills to get up. I needed something that balances durability with weight and this jacket ticks both boxes. I am also a fan of pit zips to dump excess heat when climbing. I usually run a L but after looking at other peoples comments online decided on an XL to give me enough room for a puffer underneath."

Luke P. (5/5)

Perfect jacket

"Excellent jacket. Durable, yet light weight. Looks & feels good. The venting is essential. Highly recommend, especially if you can find it on a sale."

Matthew R. (5/5)

Best of the Best

"I’ve owned rain gear from several high end brands over the years…some of them pretty good, but I’ve always found something to be lacking. Not with the Kutana! This is the best I’ve owned. The fit is perfect, it’s made of very durable material, and the overall quality is beyond my expectations. I ordered an XL top and L pant as this is my usual sizing so that I can layer underneath. It has a fitted feel, and still leaves room for some layering. Extremely happy with the purchase!"

Casey M. (5/5)

Nice rain Jacket, I like

"Nice rain Jacket, I like how light it is and how easy it is to store in a back pack."

David L. (5/5)

Great Rain Jacket

"First impression is great. Haven't tested on a hint or a hike, but so far very pleased."

John G. (5/5)

Wish it was available with a collar.

"Exceeded expectations. Light, flexible and STRONG. It would be my daily go to if you made it with a collar instead of a hood."

Eric C. (5/5)

Kutana Storm shell

"Love it. Fits greats, functions well and would definitely recommend the jacket and pants!"

Q&A

Are the front chest pockets flannel lined for your hands? If not, which waterproof shell is?
The Kutana Storm Shell Jacket does not have fleece lined pockets, but the HD Flex Storm Shell Jacket does for the upper hand pockets!
Which hunting rain gear is the most quiet
The Kutana Storm Shell rain gear is the quietest
What size Katuna Storm Shell should I buy? I have the Peloton 240 in Large which seems perfect but I also have a couple Base Camp Insulated Snap Shirts in medium that are spot on. I'm 5'7" and 160 lbs. It's hard to know from the reviews. Thank you for great products.
We recommend using the sizing guide to take measurements before ordering to ensure the proper fit. But if the large in the Peloton 240 fits, you'd likely be a size large in most of our other mid and outer layers.
Is it quite when stalking through brush or when the sleeve is rubbed against the body of the jacket. Which is the quietest and toughest rain jacket. Am thinking of the katuna
Our most durable rain gear is the Yukon; the Chugach TR is lighter but is as quiet as Yukon
