Applying all the necessary layers to protect against extreme cold, wind, rain, and snow can leave you feeling restricted and uncomfortable. Our Gale Force Jacket answers with 100% waterproof and windproof protection, body-mapped insulation, and an uncompromised fit, all in one. This purpose-built solution allows you to hunt in conditions most wouldn't consider.

Designed with an outer-layer fit, the Gale Force Jacket has room underneath for additional layers. For example, if you measure size large, sizing accommodates room for a large base and mid layer, a large Kenai Jacket, and a large Gale Force Jacket would comfortably layer over. If you're between sizes, choose the next larger size. The hood is sized to fit over a Kenai Bomber or helmet. Refer to the sizing chart for an accurate fit.

This insulated jacket is designed to layer over a base layer, mid-layer fleece, and an insulated mid-layer, all in the same size. Only upsize if you measure between sizes or prefer a loose fit.

Drastic stop-and-go activity levels can cause a buildup of sweat, leaving you chilled when you’re stationary. To mitigate this issue, breathable 3DeFX+ active insulation evaporates moisture while you’re active. Its continuous insulating fibers eliminate the ends that poke through the fabric, allowing us to spec a quieter uncoated fabric, giving you the ideal insulating layer for active hunts.

KUIU TORAIN® 3-LAYER FABRIC

Busting through brush will shred delicate rain gear. Torain 3-Layer fabric features a durable stretch nylon face fabric and offers great tear strength. It’s crafted with an Torain microporous hydrophobic membrane that breathes well during all levels of activity. Torain adds a revolutionary new seam tape that gives enhanced hydrolysis resistance for improved garment longevity.

K-DWR® (KUIU DURABLE WATER RESISTANT)

Once a fabric is soaked, insulation and breathability are compromised. KUIU’s Durable Water Repellent (K-DWR) treatments resist water, keeping it from penetrating the outer layer. This increased breathability and performance allow waterproof membranes to evaporate your sweat while blocking out moisture. K-DWR, also enhances dry-time and protects from light rain or dew-soaked vegetation on non-waterproof products.
