"Material is of good quality. However, my peloton jacket fits with room. I got the same size guide jacket thinking it would be perfect. But it runs small, I’m normally a 3XLT for other brands but I knew with Kuiu you always have to size up and even then, it was on the tighter side."

"I’ve owned several soft shell jackets from Kuiu, including the guide dcs. The guide pro is a huge upgrade in every category! I’ve worn it in a storm that I would have normally opted for a rain jacket, but this jacket held out all the moisture. Obviously it will be eventually soak through but it bought me some time. The hood/collar was a huge selling point for me being a bow hunter. I can tuck the hood behind my ear and I get a comfortable anchor point instead of having to pull the hood down. It’s also much lighter and comfortable. I’m very pleased and my only complaint is I didn’t buy two of them."

Large or XL Fit
"I’m a tall, lean build without broader shoulders or chest that typically complicate sizing. In my experience, this jacket runs slightly small, especially if you plan to layer underneath. I usually wear a size large, but found the XL to be a better overall fit, even for everyday use. The sleeves are a bit longer in the XL, but that hasn’t been an issue. The cold weather performance is excellent, and the jacket feels well made. When I tried the large, it had a more fitted feel, which may be ideal for colder conditions. However, it’s just not the style of fit I personally prefer in a jacket."

Best soft shell I own
"Spectacular soft shell jacket with all the features I want… Except for a hood stowing strap. On the not so rare occasions when I’m not using the hood and wind is blowing, it really needs a keeper strap to keep it from inflating. Otherwise I 100% recommend this jacket. Having a high soft collar in addition to the hood is essential. I am 5’8” 172 pounds, 42 inch chest and disproportionately, long monkey arms. Size large fits perfectly with room for insulation and CCW, but wears great with a thin layer too."
