"The product quality is excellent, but I'm downgrading my rating due to the unacceptable packaging, which doesn't live up to the standards of a premium brand. Hats from Amazon that are five times cheaper come in elegant designer boxes and don't look like they were just pulled out of the trash."

"I am very disappointed with my hat. I had purchased an Arntson hat years ago. It is a solid panel hat. It is a little warn but great quality. The rim on the KUIU is so flimsy and wrinkly looking. The top of the hat has no rigidity and just collapses on top my head."

"A fantastic outdoor hat. I needed a hat that would protect my face and neck from the sun, have a locking cord sizing adjustment, and a chin cord to keep the hat on in windy conditions. This hat met or exceeded all those requirements. Additionally, the Airmesh material for the crown helps keep my head cool when there is the slightest breeze."
"I have tried several different boonie hats over the years. This one is the perfect balance for me. Lightweight and breathable; very comfortable to wear. Unlike some lightweight ones, this hat is firm enough for good sun cover, but soft enough to breath and bend/flex, as well as soft to not create noise. I have about 7. 5 hat size and the XL/XXL is just about right (none too big). Liked enough I had to go buy another."

"Ordered 2 one s/m one L/XL for the wife and I based on the measurements and size guide. Both hats are enormous. Fit poorly. The draw string in the hat band to tighten the hat is pointless. The material is very elastic so that adjustment does nothing. Fortunately the chin strap will keep the hat from blowing off. Other than the to awful fit the material and construction are great and the ventilation actually works. I would not recommend this hat at $49. There is no distinction between the sizes so if you want a hat covers your head and eyes this is for you."
