Perfect hat for sun protection and comfort

"A fantastic outdoor hat. I needed a hat that would protect my face and neck from the sun, have a locking cord sizing adjustment, and a chin cord to keep the hat on in windy conditions. This hat met or exceeded all those requirements. Additionally, the Airmesh material for the crown helps keep my head cool when there is the slightest breeze."

Love the Gila PRO Airmesh Boonie

"I have tried several different boonie hats over the years. This one is the perfect balance for me. Lightweight and breathable; very comfortable to wear. Unlike some lightweight ones, this hat is firm enough for good sun cover, but soft enough to breath and bend/flex, as well as soft to not create noise. I have about 7. 5 hat size and the XL/XXL is just about right (none too big). Liked enough I had to go buy another."

Fit

"I love it. It is super light the bill is amazing! I am someone who never has one of those clothes measureing tapes However , I have worn s/m in hats that are somewhat fitted and give you that offer. Like a Red Sox hat. I can wear this but it’s a bit lighter than I would personally like it. But that’s me. So I ordered an extra. I wear all my SnapBack hats snapped in the back where it It snap together on top - I do it. even wt each other if that gives u an idea."

Boonie hat

"I’m really impressed with the quality of This hat, it’s great for warm to hot weather, super lite I love the fabric and How well it breathes. I also like the fact they make bigger sizes as most other companies have a “one size fits all” and they are always too small for my big head…Im very happy with Kuiu products top notch!"

Enormous no matter the size

"Ordered 2 one s/m one L/XL for the wife and I based on the measurements and size guide. Both hats are enormous. Fit poorly. The draw string in the hat band to tighten the hat is pointless. The material is very elastic so that adjustment does nothing. Fortunately the chin strap will keep the hat from blowing off. Other than the to awful fit the material and construction are great and the ventilation actually works. I would not recommend this hat at $49. There is no distinction between the sizes so if you want a hat covers your head and eyes this is for you."

Canadian shipping costs suck

"Cost including shipping was high to Canada. The material is thin, lightweight, and comfortable. The brim is big enough to be functional. Over all it's a nice hat, like the style too."

Way overpriced

"Ordered this on sale and still paid too much. I would be boiling mad if I paid full price. This had the quality of a $15 hat, not the typical $49 you usually charge. Also, I have a large head and ordered the xl/xxl size. The xl/xxl definitely is not a xxl. Not a bad product, but not worth the price."

"I ordered every solid color and one camo color as I am hard on hats and work outside everyday. Hat is holding up well, it is cool and I am pleased. I normally wear a 7 3/8 in fitted hats. L/XL fits very well."

What is the width of the brim?
About 3" in the front/ back and 2.25" on the sides

Yes, you will want to select size XL/XXL for a 7 5/8 hat size
Can the hat be soaked in water prior to use? Use would be at a grandkids soccer game.
It dries quickly, but I personally enjoy dipping it in the lake while fishing on hot days
Are there any thoughts on making a cold weather boogie? I would love one for those cold days to keep snow and/or rain off my head and neck. Boonies are great for cold weather as well as warm!
