"I’m a fly fishing guide through the summer and it can be in the 100 degree range and this layer keeps the sun off and me cooler. Holds up to all the rowing the raft and drys super quick. It’s a great layer and one I wear every day on the river. I’m 6’1” and 195 pounds and it’s fits great"

Nice shirt

"Big fan of the shirt! Comfortable in the heat. I didn’t want it to look painted on so I got a size up and it’s a little big so that’s my bad. Though the forearms are a little tight. My only issue is after 2 hikes and 2 washes some of the stitches are coming out in one of the arms. Which is a bummer. Still a big fan just must have popped a stitch somewhere or it came like that who knows."

"Typical Kuiu quality. Light. Seams are flat and feel great. Looks designed to last for a long time. Will report back after use but expect the same great quality from other Kuiu gear I have such as the Merino 120 hoodie and the Peleton 240 full zip."

10/10 - great for hot temps and sun protection!

"I'm 6. '2 about 175 to 180 lb and I got a large and it fits perfectly for me. I really like the white color. It really helps keep me cool when I wear it fishing in the sun and wore it on a trek through the rainforest in Costa Rica. The material is way better than other lightweight sun protection shirts with hoods. A lot more breathable. . . Wore it yesterday in 105° temperature in Texas and at a grocery store, the cashier asked me why I was dressed for cold weather but little did she know this shirt is next level fabric technology actually keeping me super cool in this heat!!! 10/10 would recommend. Only thing is maybe add to it is a front pocket with a zipper. Love me some pockets. . I'd get a second one in the future in a different color just so I can have two"

The BEST most breathable sun hoodie out there

"I’m a heavy sweater and run very warm. Typically I find anything long sleeved to be too uncomfortable in the heat. This shirt is magic. It BREATHES unlike anything else I’ve tried and once it’s wet it’s actively cool to the touch even in scorching heat. In my case it’s quickly sweat soaked, but for a light sweater in extreme heat I’d even consider dampening it a bit to get the full cooling effect"

Comfortable

"I wore it three days in a row scouting in temperatures over 100, and it was comfortable the whole time. I laid prone on some rough ground, and it held up fine. The hood flops down when I bend over, which I don’t know how you’d avoid with material this light. Overall I like it so far."

Gila LS Hoodie

"I have worn this top hunting in below freezing temperatures on a couple of muzzleloader elk hunts last winter with great results. Very comfortable under insulation layers. However, when it really shines is in hot weather. Wore this in New Zealand for Red Stag in early March and it was pretty hot. This garment solo with the hood up was just the cats meow! It has also been great fly fishing in the sun this summer. Wear with a ball cap under the oversized hood and it keeps the sun off my cancer laden ears and face and keeps the temperature mild. Great shirt! Fits true to size. Don't size up."

"Order two of these Gila series shirts as I train on the range doing handgun drills & qualifications in extreme heat. Theye protected me & kept the heat exhaustion to bearable.
