Nice shirt

"Big fan of the shirt! Comfortable in the heat. I didn’t want it to look painted on so I got a size up and it’s a little big so that’s my bad. Though the forearms are a little tight. My only issue is after 2 hikes and 2 washes some of the stitches are coming out in one of the arms. Which is a bummer. Still a big fan just must have popped a stitch somewhere or it came like that who knows."

"Typical Kuiu quality. Light. Seams are flat and feel great. Looks designed to last for a long time. Will report back after use but expect the same great quality from other Kuiu gear I have such as the Merino 120 hoodie and the Peleton 240 full zip."

The BEST most breathable sun hoodie out there

"I’m a heavy sweater and run very warm. Typically I find anything long sleeved to be too uncomfortable in the heat. This shirt is magic. It BREATHES unlike anything else I’ve tried and once it’s wet it’s actively cool to the touch even in scorching heat. In my case it’s quickly sweat soaked, but for a light sweater in extreme heat I’d even consider dampening it a bit to get the full cooling effect"

Gila LS Hoodie

"I have worn this top hunting in below freezing temperatures on a couple of muzzleloader elk hunts last winter with great results. Very comfortable under insulation layers. However, when it really shines is in hot weather. Wore this in New Zealand for Red Stag in early March and it was pretty hot. This garment solo with the hood up was just the cats meow! It has also been great fly fishing in the sun this summer. Wear with a ball cap under the oversized hood and it keeps the sun off my cancer laden ears and face and keeps the temperature mild. Great shirt! Fits true to size. Don't size up."

"Order two of these Gila series shirts as I train on the range doing handgun drills & qualifications in extreme heat. Theye protected me & kept the heat exhaustion to bearable. Beats tee shirt with a ball cap any day. Wore my ball cap & put the hood over it. Made a huge difference to the exposure & comfort."

Synthetic Sun Hoodie

"This is the first product I have purchased from Kuiu. Stopped in to their Dixon, CA store while driving by, and having heard of their products, went ahead and bought this sun hoodie. About the shirt, I like the quality and craftsmanship. The only downside is the retention of odor on the fabric due to it being synthetic. I will definitely stay with the wool fabric next time. I purchased the Medium, and the fit was great for me who is 6' tall and a buck 70 lbs. Overall I liked the Kuiu products, and look forward to trying out more options in the future."

LS Hoodie delivers on weight, fit and sun coverage!

"Lightweight, breathes well, dries fast. Fabric held up to 100% DEET bug spray but mosquitos can bite through the fabric. Just spray yourself down. Paired with a ballcap and you are good to go all day in the sun. Loved this one so much I bought another and one for my son as well. Great for fishing as well!"
