"This hooded shirt is the perfect mid-layer for waterfowl hunting. I wear this shirt over a base layer and under a vest while setting up to keep perspiration under control, then add my Kenai coat as my outermost layer once settled in the blind. Plenty warm for setting up even when temperatures are hovering around 20 degrees."

Worth the purchase

"It’s a great hoodie. Comfortable and surprisingly warm. Wear them out all the time and get compliments from everyone. Even turned non hunters into buying them. I do however think it runs just a tad bigger than the normal Kuiu everyday clothing. But not to the point it doesn’t fit. Probably just so used to Kuiu clothing being more in the athletic fit mold than having some room inside."

"Honestly, after giving potentially hundreds of reviews, this is one that I think it’s overpriced, and not to the same level of the Kuiu standard. It’s just ok to me. Feels cheap, performs ok. I think this is my first ever 3 star Kuiu review… I don’t remember giving a 4 star review ever…"

Waffle fleece is warmer and lighter

"The Canyon Waffle hoodie is a nice mid-layer to wear under a wind and waterproof shell, or to wear by itself over a tee shirt in mild weather. Weighs in at 15. 6 oz, easy to roll up into your Divide Day pack. It has no hood or draw strings and no pockets. The micro waffle fabric has a liner on the inside, making it easy to slip on and off. A warm layer to add to your active outdoor garments!"

Seems good

"Haven’t worn it yet besides trying it on but seems like it falls inline with what reviews say. Has a relaxed but not baggy fit. Streamlined but still relaxed enough that I’d wear it lounging around the house. Was a little worried about the way the bottom of the hood is designed that maybe I’d always feel it rubbing against my neck or chin but that doesn’t seem to be an issue. How warm it actually is and how well it does with sweat and odor throughout the day will be interesting to see. I like their wool stuff and that’s mostly what I wear cuz it never stinks and you never feel sweaty in it even after wearing it for days. I’m sure this won’t hold up to that same level of performance but hopefully it’s still decent."
