"This is a great light weight jacket. With some quality base layer this jacket is awesome for cold weather. It's not heavy enough for frigid temperatures but other than that, I find that it fits well, durable, warm, and is good looking. +I have all brands of camouflage clothing and have now switched to Kuiu for all my needs. Quick shipping and the sizing is perfect."

- Describe the packability. Does this pack down into a small shape for stowage? Please give an approximate size (or photo) of the unit in it's most compact shape.
- The Axis Thermal Hybrid Hooded Jacket will not stuff into its own pocket like our Super Down Jackets, but you could get it down to about 12"L x 8" Diameter with a Roll Top Dry Bag or compression sack
- Is there insulation in the shoulders ? Or just shoffshell material ?
- The insulation starts at the top of the sleeve where it meets up with the shoulder, but the shoulder does not have insulation.
- Is the puffy material similar to the element jacket material?
- Correct, The Axis Thermal insulated areas use the same insulation as the Elements Jacket.
- Is it machine washable, or does it require dry cleaning?
- It does not need to be dry cleaned. The Axis Thermal is washing machine applicable.
- Description indicates waterproof paneling on hood, shoulders, forearms, etc. so is the entire jacket waterproof or just those areas noted in the description? I’m interested if entirely waterproof cause water resistant means you’re eventually going to be wet. Thanks and love your products BTW!!
- Just the areas mentioned are waterproof. The rest of the jacket is water resistant.
