"Very versatile jacket. Wore it in newfound where rain comes and goes without notice. Kept me dry in the shoulders and arms, kept me cool while walking bogs and going through the tuck. The vented armpits were a life saver. Only down side is it really didn’t eliminate the wind chill (also there was 25 mph gust)."

Great all-round Jacket for multiple seasons

"I love the material on this jacket. I just wore it in the rain and it performed beautifully. Stretching in the fabric is nice and I'm confident I can layer with tight fitting high performance under layers to stay warm for later season hunts. I normally wear a large and at first I was concerned that the arms were too form-fitting, but I've decided I like that fit for better mobility."

Exactly what I was looking for!

"I had previously been using the Axis Thermal Hybrid, which is a fantastic jacket, but it was definitely too warm for early season archery hunts here in the Pacific Northwest, but the morning dew and rains are hitting hard enough to still warrant waterproof gear. This jacket fit the bill perfectly in that it’s just enough layering in the cool mornings, but light enough to handle the hikes in 70 degree weather, and the zippered vents are awesome. Very happy with this purchase!"

"Excellent later season jacket or when that unannounced thunder bumper hits during archery. I live in Idaho high country and layered, this jacket will get you through several seasons. It never leaves my pack. I'm 5' 9" 175 and like a XL just because it's perfect with a tee and merino hoodie underneath."

Great jacket, slim fitting in the shoulders.

"I’m currently at elk camp in western Wyoming having just walked out in a good rain storm. This jacket kept me dry and warm. It’s fitted a little slim so definitely size up if your in between sizes and for layers. I’m 6’1 205 and got the xl. It’s great in the belly area but a little snug in the chest and shoulders."

Unbelievable quality!

"Unbelievable quality! I first bought the Axis Hybrid hooded jacket 4 years ago in Verde. Complete seasonal jacket from bowhunting to gun hunts. Great for all kinds of weather. Used it during bow season w/ temperatures in the 40's to 60's w/ under layers. Even in rain it held up for an afternoon storm. I just bought it in Valo to complete my Valo set. Highly recommend the Axis Hybrid jacket."

Great product - limited big guy selections

"Clearly made from high end quality fabric. Fit runs on the smaller size for sure. Would love to order more products but unfortunately I am limited due to the lack selection in larger sizes. The few items they do offer in 3XL/4XL are usually out of stock or sold out."

Un box review not field tested yet

"The fit is great. I bought the strong fleece 230 hoody to wear underneath plus 200 Marino base layer and everything still fits great. I’m 5’7” 200lbs stocky build. Out of the box the quality seems to be great but have had a chance out in the field with it, but I’m sure it will will up to the reputation. I primarily bought this jacket and pants for Michigan late archery season, temps can dip, rain, snow or just really frigid windy days. I’m not a huge fan with wearing big bulky insulated jacket or pants during archery season because of the swings in the weather and I hate sweating in the stand. Water proof equals wind proof and that’s roughly 1/2 of these garments. Two birds one stone, the other half fairly good wind protection. The fleece lining is comfortable."

Pretty good jacket

"Overall, this jacket is pretty good. I wish it had more pockets though. I really liked the old Guide DCS jacket that is no longer made, and was hoping this would replace it. It could use another chest pocket on the other side and also at least once inside pocket. I also do not particularly like the way the hood attaches as part of the collar. I wish the hood was separate from the collar like the older Guide DCS style was. I knew before I bought it that it would probably run small like most Kuiu items I've purchased in the past, so I ordered up a size. I normally wear XL, but got XXL and am glad I did, as it fits well."
