Overview

Built-In Technology

DWR 3DeFX+ by TORAY
Drastic stop-and-go activity levels can cause a buildup of sweat, leaving you chilled when you’re stationary. To mitigate this issue, breathable 3DeFX+ insulation evaporates moisture while you’re active. Its continuous insulating fibers eliminate the ends that poke through the fabric, allowing us to spec a quieter, uncoated fabric, giving you the ideal insulating layer for active hunts. Featuring siliconized fibers, 3DeFX+ is water resistant, takes on less moisture, and dries faster.

Stunner Stretch Fabric by TORAY
Built specifically as an inner and outer layer for 3DeFX+ active synthetic insulated garments, the uncoated Stunner Stretch fabric is highly breathable, dead quiet, and low sheen. It comfortably stretches with your every move, making it ideal for bowhunting and active hunts.

K-DWR® (KUIU DURABLE WATER REPELLENT)
Once a fabric is soaked, insulation and breathability are compromised. K-DWR treatments bead and resist water, keeping it from penetrating the outer layer. This increased breathability and performance allow waterproof membranes to evaporate your sweat while blocking out moisture. K-DWR also enhances dry-time and protects from light rain or dew-soaked vegetation on non-waterproof products.

Down insulation requires an added down-proof layer, or the down clusters and feathers can poke through the fabric. These added layers are noisy, bulky, and heavy. Stunner Stretch fabric is spec’d with a heat treatment process that creates a barrier down cannot penetrate. This fabric stretches as you move and offers the lightweight, quiet, and comfort hunters demand.

This increased breathability and performance allow waterproof membranes to evaporate your sweat while blocking out moisture. K-DWR also enhances dry-time and protects from light rain or dew-soaked vegetation on non-waterproof products.

The Kenai Jacket is redefined and upgraded with added water resistance and a streamlined fit. The DWR 3DeFX+ active insulation now features siliconized fibers that resist saturation to maintain insulation in wet conditions. Whether it’s from rain, snow, or your own perspiration, this added level of water resistance also speeds up dry time. The outer fabric is K-DWR treated to resist light moisture and rain.

The outer shell now features a new quilt-free design, eliminating unnecessary stitch holes to maintain durability, wind resistance, and water resistance. The Kenai is body mapped with heavier insulation at the core, and lighter insulation on the sides for breathability and temperature regulation.

Ideal for archery hunting, the uncoated Stunner Stretch fabric is dead quiet, low sheen, and comfortably stretches with your every move.

While the jacket is not in use, it’s packable and self-stows in either interior drop pocket.

FEATURES
  • Body Mapped insulation- 90 g/m² in body front/back/bicep, 60 g/m² sides/forearm
  • Stunner Stretch nylon- 51 g/m²
  • Self-stows in either inside drop pocket
  • Full zip front
  • 2 pit zips for ventilation
  • 2 zip hand pockets
  • 1 zip chest pocket
  • 2 interior drop pockets
  • Hem cinch
  • Elastic bound cuffs
Fit

Built with a mid-layer fit, the Kenai is ideally worn over a base and mid layer, yet it’s not so bulky that it won’t layer under a rain jacket in your same measured size. If you prefer a loose fit, or plan to add addition layers underneath, up-sizing is recommended.

Layering example for cold and wet conditions:
  • Base Layer: Peloton 118 LS
  • Mid Layer Fleece: Peloton 97
  • Mid Layer Insulation: Kenai Jacket
  • Rain Shell: Kutana Storm Shell Hooded Jacket
